Our Story

Every Dog Club was born from something every devoted pawrent understands: the anxiety of leaving your beloved companions behind.

For our founders, Matt and Jodie, this wasn’t just a passing worry — it shaped nearly 25 years of their lives. Their journey began with two unlikely best friends: Mochi, a majestic American Akita, and Yantsi, a delicate Chinese Crested. From the moment they collected Mochi as a puppy, with tickets to Venice already booked, the couple knew things had changed. That trip never happened. Instead, they discovered the joy of UK holidays with their dogs by their side, and honestly, they wouldn’t have had it any other way.

As the years passed, they hoped it might get easier. It didn’t.

When Mochi was diagnosed with bone cancer at eight, their world shifted. Vets gave her three months. Rather than accept that prognosis, they changed everything — her care, her diet, her treatment. Mochi underwent surgery to amputate her front leg, and against all odds, she lived another three wonderful years.

When Mochi eventually passed, they continued that same devotion to Yantsi. In his older age, not leaving him simply became the norm. He lived to 19 years old — a testament to the love and care he received. Matt and Jodie will always cherish those memories and the choices they made.

During that precious time, the thought of leaving them with anyone else was unthinkable. They needed to be there, providing the comfort and attention only family can give.

This experience planted a seed. What if there was somewhere that truly understood? A place built by people who felt the same way — who would never treat someone’s beloved pet as just another booking?

Why We Built Every Dog Club

We created Every Dog Club because we couldn’t find what we were looking for.

Traditional kennels didn’t feel right. The clinical environments, the limited interaction, the sense that your dog was being stored rather than cared for. We wanted something different: a calm, peaceful space where dogs and cats receive attentive care and genuine connection.

We designed our facilities to go far beyond standard kennels. Each guest has their own safe room with heated floors, comfortable bedding, access to outdoor space, and ambient entertainment to keep them relaxed. But facilities are only part of the story. What truly matters is understanding that every animal is an individual.

Some dogs thrive in group play. Others prefer one-on-one walks. Some need extra patience, gentle handling, or specific routines. We cater to each guest’s unique personality and needs because that’s exactly what we’d want for our own family — and our family now includes three French Bulldogs and a Chinese Crested who call Every Dog Club home.

Gatwick, West Sussex — Our original site, fully rebuilt and reimagined as a flagship facility.

Baldock, Hertfordshire — Our second location, bringing Every Dog Club to the Home Counties.

Dunsfold, Surrey — Opening soon, expanding our family further.
